This is a small collection of items which includes Linton's nursing diploma, a temporary permit to practice from the Graduate Nurses Examining Board of Virginia, a certificate from the Virginia Nurses Board of Examiners, a photograph of her nursing class, and another in her uniform, all from 1922. Also included is a certificate from the Texas Nurses Board of Examiners, 1926 and an article about Linton receiving the Community Betterment Award from the Norfolk Junior Woman's Club in 1978 for her volunteer work at Norfolk General Hospital. This is a significant collection as it contains items related to the 1922 class of the Virginia City Hospital Training School for Nurses, the last class to graduate from the school.

Records of the Scott's Run Settlement House located in Osage, WV and founded by the Women's Society for Christian Service of the Wesley Methodist Church of Morgantown. The settlement house provided a wide range of social services for the inhabitants of the coal mining communities along Scott's Run in Monongalia County. Included in the records are board minutes, staff and statistical reports, director's correspondence, subject files, financial records, scrapbooks and clippings which document the activities of the neighborhood center as well as the character and problems of the area.

This collection contains chiefly correspondence with Washington and Lee University and United Daughters of the Confederacy officials, resolutions, and reports relating to her participation in the controversy over W&L President Henry Louis Smith's proposed renovation and expansion of the Lee Chapel. Also includes correspondence and clippings relating to fund-raising for the Stratford Hall restoration. Correspondents include members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Washington and Lee officials, and Lee family members. It also includes a copy of Mary Randolph Custis Lee's will dated 1918.

The Prince Edward County Integration Collection documents the viewpoints and efforts of county residents regarding the attempted desegregation of Prince Edward County Public Schools. Largely comprised of items donated by the Reverend Richard J. Keever, the collection features contemporaneous newspaper clippings related to the Prince Edward County school closings, as well as the administrative papers of several local human rights groups, such as The Prince Edward Council on Human Relations and the Citizens Organization for Public Education (COPE). Further materials document the history of a bi-racial study group, which met at College Church in 1964, including related local newsletters.

The records of the Department of Chemistry include committee, student and faculty meeting records, correspondence, photographs and various publications from 1940 to the present. Meeting records include minutes, agendas, as well as correspondence from departmental and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences meetings. The correspondence, which dates from 1978 to 1995, includes both internal and external memos, as well as memos to various institutions outside of the William and Mary community. The publications, from 1940 to 1987, consist of announcements, annual reports of the department, and a paper documenting three centuries of chemistry at the College. The paper includes a list of faculty of the Department of Chemistry as well as scholarly publications and newspaper articles about department. Portions of this accession are restricted.
