- Abstract:
- Family history of a Monongalia and Upshur County family that settled in Granville and Sago respectively. Levin Moreau was Frenchman who settled in New Jersey as a refugee from Bonaparte. He later anglicized his name and moved to Granville after the War of 1812 where he married and had a family. His descendents moved to Upshur County where during the Civil War, a Lorenzo Moore enlisted in the 10th. WV late in the war serving in the Wilderness and at Petersburg where he was wounded. Material covers the years 1777-1983.
