Margaret Turman Kidd, Chair

Margaret Kidd

Margaret Kidd is the Access and Electronic Records Archivist at Virginia Commonwealth University, Tompkins-McCaw Library. Her responsibilities include processing collections, both analog and digital, maintaining the collection management system and internal documentation, creating exhibits, and providing reference assistance. Prior to her position at VCU, Kidd was a senior project archivist at the Virginia Historical Society. Kidd is a member of MARAC, serving the organization in various capacities, and SAA. She received a BA in history from Emory & Henry College, an MA in American history from the University of Richmond, and an MS in Information Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She also completed the Digital Archives Specialist Certificate program in 2016. Kidd’s research interests include the history of Virginia, religion, women, and medicine.

Taylor McNeilly

Taylor McNeilly is the Processing and Reference Archivist at the University of Richmond, Boatwright Memorial Library. His responsibilities include processing archival collections, handling reference questions and research requests, using materials for instruction, the institution’s ArchivesSpace instance, and records management. Prior to his position at the University of Richmond, McNeilly served as the Digital Archivist at the Congregational Library and Archives in Boston, Massachusetts. McNeilly is a member of MARAC, SAA, and ARMA. He received a BA in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an MA in history and an MS in Library Science from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. He also completed the SAA’s Digital Archives Specialist Certificate program in 2019.
