This collection consists primarily of documents and photographs dating from A. Franklin Kibler's World War II service with the 12th Army Group, European Theater, including:

• Memoranda to and from Kibler and other senior officers (1943-1945)
• Headquarters, 12th Army Group Commanding General's briefings (1944-1945)
• Reports, including "Reports of the General Board, United States Forces, European Theater" (G-3 Section)
• Photographs
• Organizational charts

The Atcheson L. Hench Autograph Collection consists of material collected by Hench, ca. 870 items (12 Hollinger boxes, 5 linear feet), from the mid 9th century to the 20th century, some for an autograph collection and others for use in his classes at the University of Virginia with examples of various periods.

This collection contains information relating to the Institute of Southern Culture's finances, administrative records, correspondences, lectures, publications, and programming and promotion. Items in the collection consist of paper documents with dates ranging from 1955-1976.

The collection focuses on Lyons' writings, articles, clippings, photographs, and awards covering his professional career and tenure as Dean of the School of Dentistry, Medical College of Virginia, 1948-1979. The body of the collection is his papers and addresses. Lyons professional work was in periodontology, which deals with diseases of the gums These papers focus on problems and solutions related to this specialty, improving dental education, professional ethics. The collection also chronicles his gifts to the University and donations to local organizations. The collection does not include information regarding Lyons private dental practice or the official record of the School of Dentistry.

This collection of professional and personal notes, correspondence and working papers documents the work of John Norton Moore as a professor and director of the Oceans Law and Policy Center and the Center for National Security Law at the University of Virginia. It also documents Moore's public service as legal advisor, witness and counselor to national and international organizations.

Includes correspondence and subject files documenting actions, planning, functions, implementation of agency programs, and the establishment of policies and procedures for the agency, as well as achievements of the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation and its predecessor agencies. The records of the Virginia Prohibition Commission are housed in 203 boxes totaling 179.93 cu. ft and 2 volumes. The records are divided into seven (7) series. I. Applications and Personnel Files, 1916-1934; II. Correspondence, 1916-1934; III. Financial and Administrative Records, 1916-1934 [bulk 1926-1934]; IV. Inspectors' Reports, 1918-1934; V. Permits, 1918-1934; VI. Licenses and Bonds, 1918-1934 [bulk 1926-1934]; and VII. Index Card Files, undated. These records document the enforcement of state and federal prohibition laws and include annual reports, bonds, checkbooks, correspondence, insurance policies, inventories, journals, ledgers, memos, payroll records, permits, receipts, reports and vouchers.

The Low Moor Iron Company papers consist of approximately 280 four-inch Hollinger archives boxes (ca. 95 linear feet) of records, ca. 1885-1927, and some 1200 bound volumes of the company's accounting records, 1873-1927, of this iron producing company located in Low Moor (four miles southwest of Clifton Forge), Alleghany County, Virginia.
