The files were divided in seven general categories that were organized in alphabetical and chronological order due to lack of original organization. Law of the Sea – boxes 1-7 Law and National Security – boxes 7-12 Miscellaneous International Law, Human Rights Files, other files – boxes 12 – 14 University of Virginia School of Law Files: Center for Oceans Law and Policy and Center for National Security Law – Boxes 15 -16 University of Virginia School of Law teaching files and other Law School miscellaneous files – Boxes 17 -18 Other JNM files: speeches, addresses, testimonies, photographs, printed materials, posters, Boxes 19 -22 Digital files consist of dvd's of powerpoint documents. This files are saved in the unprocessed preservation files. Included in these files are the drafts of two dissertations: Lian, Chungchen: The East China Sea Maritime Delimitation and International Law. Submitted as Part of the Fulfilment of the Requirements for SJ.D. Program. 1997.
