Charlottesville (Va.) Naturalization Records, 1907-1908, consists of a standardized volume of naturalization records issued by the federal government, 1907, and loose naturalization records originally included within this volume, 1908.

Papers, 1979-1999, of Clifton 'Chip' A. Woodrum, former member of the Virginia House of Delegates in the 16th House District, encompassing Roanoke and Roanoke County. Included are legislative and project files, campaign files, press clippings and releases, speeches, and special media.

These records contain plats/surveys, certificates of survey and other accompanying papers on which grants were issued through the register of the Land Office between 1779 and 1924, the secretary of the commonwealth between 1925 and 1948, and the state librarian since 1949. Supplemental papers may include warrants, assignments, affidavits, and copies of county court records.

The Records of the Secretary of Commerce and Trade are housed in 104 boxes. The collection is arranged into nine (9) series. Series have been designated for: I. Constituent Correspondence; II. Office of the Secretary; III. Planning and Budget Files; IV. State Agencies; V. Advisory Boards, Council and Commissions; VI. Development Projects and Initiatives Files; VII. Company Files-Prospects and Development; VIII. Governor's Opportunity Fund; and IX. Special Projects-Virginia Economic Development Partnership. These records include agreements, reports, correspondence, memorandums, budget documents, agendas, handouts, invitations, and speeches. This collection documents the work of the Secretary of Commerce and Trade under Governor Mark R. Warner.

Records of the Secretary of Finance, 2006-2010, during the administration of Governor Timothy Kaine. The collection is housed in 42 boxes and includes agendas, briefings, brochures, clippings, contracts, correspondence, financial statements, itineraries, maps, memorandum, newsletters, notes, photographs, programs, publications, reports, and other documents. The collection is arranged alphabetically by folder title.

Papers, 1891-1957, of W. W. Scott (1845-1929) of Orange County and Richmond, Virginia, consisting of accounts, advertisements, charts, deeds, envelopes, epitaphs, essays, letters, notes, poems, promissory notes, receipts, reminiscences, satires, and speeches, mainly concerning Virginia and Orange County history, including Scott's HISTORY OF ORANGE COUNTY, VA; and James Madison (1751-1836). Papers also contain correspondence to and from Scott's son Philip H. Scott (1873-1962); receipts for purchases and payments by Scott; copyright for a book by Scott and W. G. Stanard; poems by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Philip Slaughter, Will Henry Thompson, and unknown; an epitaph for Jane Webb in Old Blue Run Church; and the condensed profile for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway in 1908.

Records, 1803-2001 (bulk 1900-1970) of W. W. LaPrade and Brothers, certified engineers and surveyors in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The company surveyed land mainly in Chesterfield and Henrico Counties and Richmond, Virginia, although many other Virginia counties are also included. The collection consists of computation books, field books and diaries, and plats and surveys prepared by LaPrade for various companies and land owners.

The records of the R.F.& P. R.R., 1834-1997, are organized into 31 series. Series I-X relate to record groups of the R.F.& P. R.R. itself, series XI-XXXI describe the records of R.F.& P. subsidiaries, both fully or partially owned, and of companies, of which the R.F.& P. owned a smaller interest at some point during its 157 year history, or with which it was otherwise affiliated. These include: Alexandria & Fredericksburg R.Y. Co., Alexandria & Washington R.Y. Co., Fruit Growers Express Co., Lewis Ginter Land and Improvement Co., Potomac R.R. Co., Potomac Steamboat Co., The Pullman Co., R.F.& P. Transportation Co., Richmond-Greyhound Lines, Richmond Holding Corporation, Richmond Land Corporation, Richmond Terminal R.Y. Co., Seaboard Air Line R.R. Co., South Washington Land Corporation, Suburban Motor Coach Co., Trailer Train Co., Union Terminal Corporation, Washington and Fredericksburg Steamboat Co., Virginia and Carolina R.R. Co., and the Washington Southern R.Y. Co. Also included are some records for the Richmond-Washington Co., which at times held the majority of R.F.& P. voting stock. In some cases information for subsidiary companies can be found as integral part of the R.F.& P. files.
