Meeting Minutes

This series comprises chiefly Board of Visitors meeting minutes from 1964 to 2025 beginning with the first meeting on July 16, 1964. During that first meeting the members decided on the official design for "The Visitors of Madison College," agreed upon making the meetings of the Visitors closed to the public, approved of the revised faculty salary, and approved the continuation of degrees being offered to students. Also included is the original Board of Trustees minute book dating from 1908 to 1914. A full transcript is also contained within this series.

Men's and Women's Tennis records 2 Linear Feet 1 Hollinger box and 1 oversize folder

College of William and Mary. Department of Athletics.

The collection consists of one box of programs, news reports, schedules, rosters, ephemera posters and other materials related to William & Mary's men's and women's tennis teams. The earliest material in the collection pertains to the men's 1947 and 1948 National Championship victories, but the majority of the material in the collection is dated to the years after 1978. Two folders contain material pertaining exclusively to the men's team while two folders contain material pertaining exclusively to the women's team. The remaining three folders contain material pertaining to both teams.

College of William and Mary. Department of Athletics.

The collection is composed of five boxes of programs, media guides, news reports, schedules, rosters, ephemera, posters and other material related to the men's basketball team of William & Mary. There is also a folder of material pertaining to youth basketball camps held at the college in the 1980s and 1990s. Although the men's basketball team was organized earlier, the material in this collection is derived from the year 1925 onwards with a majority of the material pertaining to the years after 1970.

Meyer, Leisa Oral History

In this interview, American Studies and Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies (GSWS) Professor Leisa Meyer narrates their experience living in Williamsburg, Virginia, and the surrounding areas as it pertains to the Queer community. Professor Meyer begins with detailing their life as a Professor at William and Mary, how much they care for their students and reform, and how they came to be a Professor and long-time resident of Williamsburg. They explain how the surrounding areas of Williamsburg have a more lively Queer presence, and details some of the history behind the notorious Gay/Lesbian bars in these more urbanized towns. Throughout the interview, there are discussions of what qualifies as a Queer space, what Williamsburg and the Queer community in the town can do to advance their presence in the Colonial city, and ends with concluding remarks about Williamsburg as a whole.
