This oral history project accompanys and is used extensively for the "A Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools that Changed America" exhibit, which will be on display in the Virginia Museum of History & Culture from May 2024 until April 2025. The exhibit and the oral history project examine the legacy of Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington co-creating schools in the American South to educate Black children otherwise exluded from the public school system due to segregation laws. The oral history project consists of interviews with former pupils of Rosenwald schools in Virginia.

Records of the West Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club, an American environmental preservation organization. Records include correspondence, meeting minutes, publications, audiovisual materials, and other records of the Chapter's operations. This collection also includes one box of records from the Potomac Chapter, from which the West Virginian Chapter was formed.

Photographs, ephemera, and other material from the early twentieth century, including two postcards albums, black and white photographs, a concert program, greeting cards, postcards, calling cards, recipe pamphlets, and a calendar. This collection also includes publications of the Hill and Dale Private Press and Type Foundry of Terra Alta, West Virginia (1975-1994); the first published catalog of West Virginia books (1963); seed and plant catalogs (1934-1948); two Victorian scrapbooks (ca. 1885-1900); as well as various books, publications, and ephemera. This material was acquired in the Morgantown, West Virginia area.

Papers documenting Stewart's career as the special collections librarian at the West Virginia University Law Library, the rare books curator at the West Virginia and Regional History Center, and a rare bookseller, including academic research, conference presentations, exhibit research and drafts, and assorted publications. Also included are assorted fiction drafts and student work, as well as drafts and research for an academic book on depictions of Appalachia in popular culture.

This collection contains publications associated with student organizations at the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary, Old Dominion College, and Old Dominion University. The documents within this collection reflect the evolving interests and concerns of an expanding and diverse student body throughout the university's history. Included are student organization publications such as literary digests, opinion journals, and student organization newsletters.

The Student Organizations collection contains fliers, announcements, and programs for various student organizations at William & Mary. The organizations include academic clubs, arts groups, Greek social organizations, religious organizations, student athletic associations, and other groups.
