The collection includes an extensive Report of the Department of Medicine of the University of Virginia to the Committee of Medical Alumni dated December 15, 1939. In 1939 the University of Virginia Hospital Development Office asked the Medical Alumni Association to assess the needs of each department and lab at the hospital. Related to this effort, the collection includes survey forms, filled out by department chairs, and correspondence. Other materials present in the collection include committee records and related documents, a large set of alumni newsletters (dating from 1948-2019), and alumni directories.

The UVA School of Medicine records primarily document the history of the School at all levels of the organization during the 20th and 21st centuries.

RG 23/100, Student Organizations/ Miscellaneous, includes a new addition (RG-23/100/1.114) which is a pamphlet titled "Bigot on the Board?: What Bert Ellis' appointment means for you."

This addition to RG 23/109, Student Organizations/ Z Society, includes a letter circulated and posted all over Grounds by the Z Society after an incident on February 28, 2022. The incident required a shelter-in-place notification to the community after officers initially responded to a report of a possible robbery with a weapon. Once on the scene, investigators learned the suspect had fled on foot but was located soon after in a construction zone behind the Main Library. The Z Society letter acknowledged the stressfulness of the situation and provided a list of local and national hotlines for services.

This collection contains the records of RG-15/5 (Weldon Cooper Center/ Institute for Engagement and Negotiation (IEN) and consists of project-based information, meeting notes, and developed reports for various environmental and social justice issues, including Virginia waterway rehabilitation projects, hazard waste sites, economic development, traffic, affordable housing, food resources, national parks, and governmental regulations. Included are photographs and negatives of sites that the Institute protects and snapshots of staff; newsletters; and research material. Founded in 1980 as the Institute for Environmental Negotiation, it served as a leading environmental and public policy dispute resolution organization. Over its four decades of work, IEN's focus expanded beyond environmental sustainability to more intentionally encompassed environmental, economic, and social resilience. It was rebranded in 2019 as the Institute for Engagement & Negotiation to reflect this evolution.
