Virginia Music Teachers Association records (1940-2018; 11 cubic feet) contain financial papers, agendas, contests, correspondence, minutes, newsletters, chapter reports and officer's reports totaling 11 cubic feet. There are also music performances and software programs on compact discs, floppy disk and audiocassette. Some areas of the collection are missing years from 1980 to 1990. The records are created by musicians and teachers in Virginia whose shared vision is furthering the art of music and promoting the growth and professional development of its members. It provides programs that encourage and support teaching, performance, composition, research, and students. Some of the Virginia chapters include Roanoke, Shenandoah, Piedmont, Richmond, Tidewater, Peninsula, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Northern Virginia, Highlands, and many state and private colleges.

Photographs of the Harper Family of Pendleton County. Also includes a small amount of genealogical and manuscript material. Photo formats include cartes de visite, tintypes, cabinet cards, mounted photos, prints, and photo postcards. Subjects include the Charles Skidmore Harper Family, the Jacob Conrad Harper and Susan McDonald Harper Family, additional Harper family members, and members of associated families, including the Carr, Cooper, Daniels, Harman, Harrison, and Montoney families. Addendum of January 2018 (box 1, folders 20-25, and box 2) includes mostly photographs of various family members, including the families of Amby Harper, Jacob C. Harper, Susanna Skidmore, and Dr. E.A. Harper, as well as a few family trees. Addendum also includes material pertaining to Brandon Fuller, a WVU graduate (1951) and a Harper family descendant.

Papers and artifacts of the Hatfield family of southwest West Virginia, as compiled by their descendants. Best known for the Hatfield and McCoy feud during the late 19th century, this collection is connected to Devil "Anse" Hatfield, his wife Louvisa Hatfield, and four of their 13 children: Elias, Tennyson ("Tennis"), Joseph Davis ("J.D."), and Detroit ("Troy"). The most common types of materials found in the collection are newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, and later academic writings on the Hatfield and McCoy feud. To complement the archival material, biographical and online print outs have been included in the collection by the donor. When possible, we have kept the original order of photographs, newspaper clippings, and correspondence. Most of the content is regarding the everyday life of the Hatfields and their extended family, including the children's experiences working for the Pocahontas Coal Company, holiday and greeting cards, delinquent account notices, and land deeds.

The first 30 record cartons contain ship data files kept in original order. They are organized in alphabetical order by ship class, hull designation and hull number.The remaining 25 record cartons contain Naval Ships Technical Manuals, Training Manuals, Coast Guard specifications, and Code of Federal Regulations. Some of these materials are on compact disc and VHS tape. The clamshell box contains a small collection of Naval History magazines dated from 2016 to 2019. The 29 notebooks / binders, contain detailed design plans obtained from the National Archives for specific Naval and Commercial ships.
