This sub-series contains records pertaining to annual reports published by the Alexandria Library system, as well as its individual branches. Documents include final copies of annual reports, drafts of annual reports, and related notes and correspondence.

This sub-series contains administrative and financial records of the Alexandria Library. Documents include correspondence, budgets and other financial records, affirmative action records, bylaws and agreements, official city proclamations, gift records, and other administrative materials.

This sub-series contains records documenting circulation statistics of the Library.

Arranged alphabetically with the exception of the Exhibit of Participants materials and the magnesium letterpress die plates which are located at the end of the series due to their size. Note that the numbering system for the letterpress die plates is sequential based on each poem's order in the publication Furious Flower: A Revolution in African American Poetry. As such the first folder/four-flap enclosure in box nine is labeled 9:21b. This is the plate for page two of the 21st poem in the publication. Materials in this series primarily document the planning and implementation of the 1994 Furious Flower Poetry Conference: A Revolution in African American Poetry. Records include travel and lodging reservations, correspondence with participating poets, financial documentation and budgets, and mailing lists. Marketing and promotional items such as posters and brochures are included. Conference evaluations completed by attendees and folders labeled "Positive Responses" document the overwhelming success of the conference. Of particular interest are exhibit components from the 1994 conference that include text labels and images of each participating poet. The photographs for these panels were taken by C. B. Claiborne. Copy 225 of 300 of Furious Flower: A Revolution in African American Poetry is located in box 2, folder 5. The magnesium letterpress die plates used to print this collection of poetry are also included here. Each plate is individually housed in a four-flap enclosure and then boxed in order of appearance in the publication. Of significance are the video recordings documenting conference proceedings and interviews with Black poets.

This sub-series includes Armistead Boothe's personal correspondence, personal financial records including bound ledgers, awards and certificates, poetry authored by Boothe, and memorabilia from special events. Items of interest include ephemera from a dinner in Williamsburg, VA honoring and attended by Winston Churchill.

This sub-series includes documents from Boothe's legal and military careers, including legal briefs and a collection of WWII-era silk "escape" maps of the Pacific Theater.

Newspaper clippings and journal articles documenting the October 1976 Congress in Iran, with a particular focus on architect Noushin Ehsan. Also included is an article about women architects from 1974 and one on Ehsan and her work from 2002. Materials are in English and Persian.

Outline of the Williamsburg Woman's Club achievements, 1949-1999. Includes (50th)Golden Anniversary literature, planning documents and photographs, and printed brochure of "A Profile of the Woman's Club of Williamsburg." 1949-1999.

The bulk of this accession contains photographs and clippings related to the track and cross country teams at the College of William and Mary. Both the mens and womens track and cross country teams are represented. Also included in the accession are William and Mary football programs, publications from the Colonial Williamburg Foundation from the 1980s, and publications related to the 300th Anniversary of the College of William and Mary from circa 1993.

Contains football programs from William and Mary games against George Washington in 1961 and 1963; Program and results from the 2012 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky; Program from the 2012 CAA Cross Country Championships in Williamsburg, Virginia; Program for the 11 Annual Spider Alumni Open cross country meet in Richmond, Virginia on September 1, 2012; and a manuscript written by G. Curtis Jones about the death of his son Peter G. Jones, who ran cross country and track for William and Mary from 1967-1971, at the age of 30.

Contains results for William and Mary freshman cross country team meet rusults from 1963, 1965-1967, as well as an autographed copy of High School Runners, Fall 2000, signed by Alan Webb, the first high school runner to break the 4 minute mile.

This addendum consists of a selection of ephemera related to the personal achievements of W.E. (Ned) Chilton III and Elizabeth (Betty) Chilton.

This sub-series contains two framed prints and three commemorative plaques. Also included are two undated, unlabeled photos that appear to be of W. E. Chilton, Jr., a poster, a signed photo mat, several oversize publications, and clippings from the Charleston Gazette, the Sunday Gazette-Mail, and other news publications.

This sub-series contains eight framed and unframed drawings or prints. Contents include two framed caricatures drawn by Taylor Jones (1976 and 1977), two framed prints from the Rex Morgan, MD (May 24, 1965) and Beetle Bailey (1975) comic strips, two unframed prints from the Blondie (November 28, 1993) and Dick Tracy (April 8, 1935) comic strips, an unlabeled print by comic artist Kendall Vintroux (March 19, 1966), and a framed copy of the Harper's Weekly political cartoon drawn by Thomas Nast, depicting the first representation of the Democratic party as a donkey and originally published on January 15, 1870.
