The Artemis Sisters Collective was a local Morgantown, West Virginia feminist collective formed in September 1982 for the purpose of promoting women's empowerment through creative, political, and social engagement. The bulk of materials range in dates from 1980 to 1987 and include information regarding the SisterSpace Collective, various women's defense committees, musical acts, and social activism. Materials include posters, pamphlets, correspondence, cassette tapes, meeting minutes, flyers, press releases, photographs and t-shirts.

Arthurdale Homestead Project

Correspondence, business records, press releases, photographs, newspaper clippings, and printed material, regarding the resettlement of unemployed coal miners and their families to Arthurdale, West Virginia. Collection contains the papers of Bushrod Grimes (1888-1957), Project Manager of the Arthurdale Subsistence Homestead Project, 1933-1935, and pertains to the planning and administration of the Project. Correspondents include M.L. Wilson, Guy W. Numbers, Eleanor Roosevelt, Arthur Woods, W.E. Muldoon, O.B. Smart, Kathryn Fenn, H.W. MacGregor, J.G. Sillenbeck, Charles E. Pynchon, and G.M. Flynn. Oversize item is panoramic photograph titled "View of the Experimental Homestead Farm, Reedsville, WV; Mansion in the foreground to be made into school building," dated 1933/12.

Ballard, Arthur J., 1931-2017
Professional and personal papers of Arthur J. "Pete" Ballard, a teacher, museum curator, and costume artist. He taught at the North Carolina School of the Arts, curated the costume collection at the Reynolda House Museum of American Art in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and exhibited his work as a painter and costume artist. The collection includes project files documenting his work involving costume and painting exhibits, lectures, and theatrical productions; slides and photographs of exhibits; and awards and honors records; among other material.
