Agricultural surveys taken of West Virginia counties during 1915-1916 and the late 1930s through the late 1960s; counties include: Greenbrier, Marshall, Jackson, Randolph, Harrison, Mineral, Hampshire, Morgan, Jefferson, Berkley, and Monroe. Most of the collection is comprised of individual farm surveys or inventories, both bound and loose manuscripts. Information about many of the counties' farms was utilized for a 1955 West Virginia Feed Production Study and a 1969 Rural Development Study, which was conducted by students at West Virginia University for the Department of Agricultural Economics. Series include: 1) Farm Surveys (1915-1942), 2) Records for a Rural Development Study (1955-1969), and 3) Miscellaneous Papers.

Minute book beginning with the first meeting of the Alumni Association on June 19, 1873, and ending with the meeting of June 9, 1898. The book includes a copy of the constitution of the association, which was adopted June 19, 1873. There is also a copy of an article concerning the minute book which appeared in the West Virginia Alumni News Vol. XXX, No. 2 (Fall1964).

Out-going correspondence of the West Virginia University Appalachian Center. A continuation of A&M 1933. Most of the letters are from Ernest J. Nesius, the director of the center. Also, Several speeches delivered by Nesius on various occasions. Subjects include budgetary matters, personnel problems, filling vacancies, Extension services, Parkersburg Branch, Kanawha Valley Graduate Center, the East African Program, WVU Foreign Students, the National Youth Science Camp, and state 4-H Camp at Jackson's Mill.

Carbon copies of correspondence, reports and related material from the Appalachian Center's Chronological File. Correspondence covers period July 1960 - December 1961. Includes budget "Request for Fiscal Year 1968 Allotment", Water Research Institute, Office of Research and Development, Appalachian Center, WVU, Morgantown. Also includes speeches, memoranda, discussion outlines from West Virginia Center for Appalachian Studies and Development, 1962-1965. Additional carbon copies of correspondence placed in the Center's chronological file for the period August 1962 - December 1963, and materials on the American Country Life Association July 29, 1965 - September 21, 1966. Also includes "A proposal for Grant Assistance Implementing the West Virginia Center for Appalachian Studies and Development," Dec 65, March 18, 1963; and "Proposal on Establishment of the Appalachian Technology Center at West Virginia University," March 14, 1966.

Programs, newsletters, photographs, and other material regarding the West Virginia University Athletics Department collected by John Antonik, Director of New Media. Includes programs for the All-Sports Banquet (1951, 1954), the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame 14th Annual Induction Ceremony (2004), and other events. Photographs are black and white and date from the 1940s; subjects of photographs include WVU sports teams, World War II veterans attending WVU, Fred Schaus (WVU basketball coach), Leland Byrd (WVU athletic director), and Bobby Jackson and "The Juggling Jacksons". Also contains a prospectus regarding the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts (ca. 1960).

Programs for West Virginia University football and basketball intercollegiate games. Football programs are scattered and incomplete in the range from 1940-2001, although there is a concentration for the 1961-1967 seasons; basketball programs are similarly scattered and incomplete in the range from 1950-2001, with the exception of the 2000-2001 season. Most programs are for individual games although there are a few guides for entire seasons as well. Miscellaneous items (box 1, folder 1) includes a program for a Willie Akers Appreciation Dinner (1983), among other items.

Records of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, including Charter Petitions (1989, 1994), convention publications (1994), photographic membership composites (1985-1994), scrapbook (1939-1954; includes photos, clippings, invitations, announcements, etc.), and miscellaneous photos (1950s-60s).

Proposals, plans, and correspondence regarding West Virginia University building projects. Includes specifications for Woodburn Hall (1873) and blueprints for the north wing (1897), specifications for the Evansdale Library (1978), and renovation of Colson Hall (1978). There are also floor plans for Purinton House with a sketch of the exterior (ca. 1905). Other items include maps and drawings pertaining to east Morgantown (1901) and the WVU Campus (1971), and several blank diplomas for different schools and colleges within the University. The correspondence is from WVU President Jerome Raymond to architects competing for the contract to design an armory, mechanical hall, and a library with a museum (1899/03/16).
