These protests were carried out in response to the "WVU Transformation," $45 million budget cuts proposed by West Virginia University administration in the spring of 2023. The walkout photographs were taken on WVU's downtown campus near the Mountainair and feature protesters and protest signs. The rally photographs were taken of flyers distributed at the event.
