Collections

This collection consists of 22 photographs, 14 mounted for exhibit purposes, that depict the Jamestown Exposition of 1907, the tercentennial of the settlement at Jamestown, Virginia in 1607. The tercentennial took place in Norfolk, Virginia on land that is now part of Naval Station Norfolk.

The John L. Nau III Civil War History Collection (1806-1988, bulk 1861-1865; 133 cubic feet) contains Civil War-era correspondence, service records, pension records, artifacts, photographs, military records (including orders, requisitions, and correspondence), currency, newspapers, and other print materials.

This collection includes general and constituent correspondence, office files, speeches, appointment books, photographs, scrapbooks, and clippings documenting Senator Warner's life and career.

A collection of photographs taken of North Grounds before construction began on the Law School renovation in 1995.

The papers of Marion K. Kellogg contain correspondence, programs, photographs, and clippings of the Uruguayan seminar (1960) and the Bolivian seminar taught at the Law School, as well as photographs from the alumni meeting (1966). There is also one folder of correspondence with the American Bar Association Committee on International Economic Organizations from 1966-1972. Some documents are in Spanish.

This collection (1940-1976) contains professional correspondence related to the Juvenile Court Project (1973) and juvenile courts; law and poverty; personal correspondence; some student papers and lecture notes.

This collection reflects Mortimer M. Caplin's (Law 1940) life during his years as a student at the University of Virginia and as Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service. It consists primarily of awards, photographs, certificates, articles, interviews, and newspaper clippings.

This collection consists of an album of color photographs of events held by the Golden Key International Honour Society at Old Dominion University.

Addition 4 to MSS 11995 contains newspaper & advertisement clippings, periodicals (The Christmas Reader and The Committee for italic Handwriting Newsletter, book reviews by Oscar Ogg, book cover mock-ups, ink & water color drawings, illustrations of calligraphy, and correspondence. Included are "typofile" and italic scripts handwriting. There is personal information including Squire Ogg's grade school report on the human body & one piece of art, one small notebook, religious art, photographs and photograph albums.
