One of the postcards from Homard is a Red Cross communication that the ship on which Homard sailed arrived safely overseas. Homard also indicates in his communications that he is stationed "Somewhere in France." Included with the correspondence is a photograph of Private William G. Stevens who was in the 12th Engineers, Detached out of Fort Sheridan, Illinois.

Photograph album consisting of pictures of Oliver Hansen and his friends and family dated around 1919. The book features many pictures of the U.S.S. Julia Luckenbach, ported in New York City, NY. The ship is shown in dry dock, in port, at sea, and in Bordeaux, France. There are also pictures of sailors, a boxing match on board the Julia Luckenbach, snapshots of sailors boarding the ship, and the Hansen's family in New York City. There is one African American sailor featured among the photographs, though without identification. Additionally, there are a couple of photographs of a wrecked fire engine in New York City.
