Background

Scope and content:

Collection contains letters describing officer William C. Hensyl's time in France from late summer 1918 to late summer 1919. One letter contains a booklet from a hotel in southern France. Letters are addressed to his sister, Annie, as well as to her husband and son.

Annie Irene Hensyl is addressed on letters as Mrs. Walter J. Kurtz.
