This collection consists of the papers from the military career of Thomas St. J. Arnold with most items dating from World War II (1939-1945). The collection includes operational reports of the 92nd Infantry Division, maps, photographs, and correspondence.

This collection contains four citations (1967-1968) awarded to Captain Thomas T. Oliver. Included are the Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, and Bronze Star. This collection also includes letters of condolence sent to Oliver's mother.

The bulk of this collection consists of items dating from T. Randolph Perkinson's World War I service with Headquarters, 30th Division, as an aide-de-camp to General S. L. Faison. Documents include:

This collection consists of completed VMI alumni survey documents asking for a summary of service. Some alumni also submitted additional information.

This collection consists of the accounts of the Battle of the Bulge participation by more than forty VMI alumni. The VMI Class designation ranges from the 1921 to 1946. These accounts were solicited by Robert W. Wentz (VMI Class of 1954) in 1989 to 1990 and formed the basis of an article that was published in the VMI Alumni Review (Summer 1990, Page 14).

This collection consists of completed military service survey forms. The survey bears the title "Military Service Biography Summary, Brother Rat, Class of '33." Information includes dates of active duty, duty assignments, and "interesting assignments and experiences."

This collection consists of Waller G. Willis, Jr.'s papers, including:

• A notebook containing unfinished memoirs titled "Reminiscences of Cadet Days," in which he discusses many aspects of cadet life during the his first year at VMI (1915-1916)
• Correspondence
• Cadet handbooks (the Bullet)
• A dance program for the cadet club called the "Nuggateers"

This collection (17 items) consists of the papers of William A. Tidwell, Jr., including:

• Correspondence (dated 1965-1968) from General William C. Westmoreland to Tidwell
• Legion of Merit citation and certificate, awarded for Tidwell's service as Chief of the Reconnaissance and Photographic Intelligence Division in Vietnam (1964-1965)
• Other certificates and citations
• Three photographs

This collection (22 items) consists of incoming correspondence and postcards (dated 1916-1945) written by various friends and family members to William B. Dunbar. The letters that date from the period of his cadetship include occasional references to VMI events.

This collection consists of papers (approximately 50 items) that document the United States Marine Corps career of William G. McClure, Jr., VMI Class of 1943. The bulk of this collection is concerned with his active duty service during World War II, when he served with the 1st Marine Division in the Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart. Other items include:

• Papers relating to his postwar service as a reserve officer
• Photographs, including one photograph of the Class of 1943 Ring Figure Dance (November 1941)
