The collection contains material related to Allison Kenneth (A.K.) Scribner's tenure on the Old Dominion College Board of Visitors, his work with civic organizations, and his professional career in manufacturing.

This collection contains a scrapbook of black and white as well as color photographs for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a student organization at Old Dominion University, for the 1986-1987 academic year. Featured in the scrapbook are photographs of officers, events, and conferences among others.

This collection consists of notes taken by Beth Rossheim while a student in Parker Lesley's art history classes in the 1970s at Old Dominion University.

This collection includes material related to the Coalition of Black Faculty and Administrators (CBFA), a faculty organization at Old Dominion University. The objective of the organization is to promote the recruitment and retention, promotion and tenure, and greater involvement of African American faculty and administrators in college life. The coalition also works to provide networking opportunities and a forum for African American issues. Included in the collection are minutes and agendas, correspondence, both personal and professional, and financial reports of the organization. Newspaper clippings related to African American issues, reports on the progress of equal opportunity and affirmative action at Old Dominion University, elections for association officers, and newsletters produced by the CBFA are also present.

This collection contains the records of the Dean of the School of Sciences and Health Professions. Prior to 1986, the records of both the College of Sciences and College of Health Sciences can be found in this collection. The records mostly consist of subject files pertaining to departmental correspondence, curricular activities, and correspondence with various science and health science professional organizations.

This collection contains brochures for PREVIEW, an orientation program at Old Dominion University, as well as facts and figures about the university.

This collection contains the office files of Harold Eickhoff, Executive Vice President of Old Dominion. Some of the topics found in the records include planning documents for the university, space planning, annual reports, State Council of Higher Education in Virginia (SCHEV) material, and planning for the Iranian Naval Academy.

The collection contains a portfolio of logotypes created by Robert McCullough, professor of graphic arts, for Old Dominion University. Included are examples of the proposed logos on business cards and letterhead, and features the ODU racetrack logo that eventually was chosen as the official logo in 1974.

This collection contains publications associated with student organizations at the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary, Old Dominion College, and Old Dominion University. The documents within this collection reflect the evolving interests and concerns of an expanding and diverse student body throughout the university's history. Included are student organization publications such as literary digests, opinion journals, and student organization newsletters.

The collection contains newspaper clippings and other ephemera related to Old Dominion University's win at the 1970 GE College Bowl Tournament. The material was collected by Tom Sheeran, one of the participants on the team. Included is the championship medal the winners received, articles about the GE College Bowl, and letters from Old Dominion University faculty and staff.
