Background

Scope and content:

The collection contains newspaper clippings and other ephemera related to Old Dominion University's win at the 1970 GE College Bowl Tournament. The material was collected by Tom Sheeran, one of the participants on the team. Included is the championship medal the winners received, articles about the GE College Bowl, and letters from Old Dominion University faculty and staff.

Bronze medal with the GE logo and "College Bowl" written in gold lettes and a laurel wreath on the front. The reverse is engraved "Tom Sheeran Old Dominion University. The medal is attached to a blue and white ribbon with a pin.
