This item is a vintage hand grinder, probably from the early 20th century. It's a small jar with a screw-on lid, fitted with a spout and handcrank. Generally, these were suited for hand-grinding nuts or small quanities of dried fruit or grains. This item was donated along with Artifcat-061, Egg beater.

The bottle is amber with a sticker label that wraps around majority of the bottle's body. The label has a brick pattern at the top, followed by an orange line, and below the line is all maroon. The front of the bottle says "HARDYWOOD" above a maroon gobbler that is inside a white diamond. Below the gobbler is the text "FIGHTIN' HOKIES LAGER ALCOHOL 5.0% BY VOL . 12 FL OZ." The same logo and text is repeated on the side of the bottle.

It contains notes, recipes, and information about cooking and likely belonged to Helen Cushen, whose name appears on it in several locations. Although not clearly dated, the item is likely from about 1922-1926.
