Scope and content:

This collection consists of correspondence, legal and financial papers, a ledger, scrapbooks, advertising cards, brochures and photographs of the Preston County, West Virginia, area. The letters in the collection are between members of the Brown and Morgan families of Kingwood, Albright, and Reedsville and of New Interest, Randolph County. The principal correspondents are J. Slidell Brown, Ben L. Brown, Etta Brown, Daisy May Morgan, and Harriet Y.C. Morgan and a friend of the families, John A.F. Martin.
