Abstract:
Photocopy of "We Cousins - Menefee - Mercer - Heard" by Florence Hudson. This is a fourteen-page genealogical chart of these related families, which were joined by the marriage of Stephen Rhodes Heard (1773-1829) of Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and Jemima Menefee (1782-1854) of Alabama. Stephen and Jemima Menefee Heard had ten children. In 1831, after Stephen Heard's death, Jemima Heard and her children settled in Texas. Genealogy chart traces the Heard descendants from the late eighteenth century to the late nineteenth century and was created by Florence Hudson in 1957.
