Commission appoints Richard Royall, John Archer, John Archer, Jr., Richard Eppes, Seth Ward, Edward Osborne, Jr., Robert Kennon, Archibald Cary, John Markham, John Hylton, Abraham Saller, Peter Johnston, Christian Worsham, and Edward Friend justices for a court of Oyer and Terminer in Chesterfield County, Virginia to try Bob, the slave of Thomas Branch, for murder.

Biographical / historical:

Francis Fauquier (1703 – 3 March 1768) was a Lieutenant Governor of the colony of Virginia, and served as acting governor from 1758 until his death in 1768.
