Background

Scope and content:

The collection contains materials that document the activities of the hardcore punk band Straitjacket. Collection includes a cassette tape, T-shirt and buttons.

2 Straitjacket pinback buttons, one with an image of Garfield and the other with an image depicting a monkey with a gun with the subscript "Adaptation."

Biographical / historical:

The hardcore punk band Straitjacket was founded at William & Mary in 2021 by Maximilian Kim (2023), Clavin Sloan (2025), Cass Soto (2025), and Adam Lander (2026). Kim played bass, Sloan drums, Soto provided vocals and Lander the guitar. The band is currently based in Fairfax, Virginia.
