The collection contains supporting documentation for the book James City County, Virginia Cemeteries. The documentation was originally housed in binders, which were disbound. The original order, however, remains. The collection includes photographs, graphs, maps, history, newspaper articles and other descriptive information for all known cemeteries in James City County, Va., including African-American cemeteries. The cemeteries were researched, photographed, and documented. The collection also includes a manuscript of the book.
