Silver Dollar Belonging to Armand Galfo, 2000

1-Silver Dollar coin that features a depiction of Liberty walking toward a mountain range and a sunrise. "LIBERTY" is inscribed in raised letters in an arch above the depiction. "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed in raised letters to the right of Liberty's leg and "2000" is inscribed in raised numbers at the bottom of the coin. The back of the coin features a depiction of the Eagle from the Great Seal of the United States. Above the eagle's head there are thirteen stars composed in a triangular shape. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is inscribed in raised letters in an arch above the eagle. "1 OZ. FINE SILVER-ONE DOLLAR" is inscribed in raised letters below the eagle. This silver dollar was given to Armand Galfo (Co. USAF Res.) by Scott Hankinson (husband of Marie Galfo Hankinson) on June 30, 2000 after Armand administered the oath of office to Scot making Scott an Ensign USN. Marie is the daughter of Noel Galfo, Armand's cousin who served on three fronts in Europe, Africa, and Italy in WWII. The coin measures approximately 1.5in. in diameter and is in excellent condition.
