Scope and content:

Mostly letters, 1825-1845, from Samuel Owings Hoffman to his wife Louisa Gilmor Hoffman including a chronicle of a trip through Ireland, England and France in 1830.

Note: Miss Gilmor became Mrs. Hoffman in 1826.
