Background

Scope and content:

The University Archives Faculty-Alumni File is a reference collection of materials relating to and about individuals associated with the College of William and Mary. The collection includes secondary sources such as news clippings and transcriptions from published sources. An individual might be represented by one item or several folders. The dates associated with each name reflects the dates of the individual's known association with William & Mary.

Not all persons associated with William & Mary since 1693 are represented in the collection. Additional materials or information concerning faculty and alumni may be available elsewhere in the Special Collections Research Center.

Arrangement:

The files are in alphabetical order by last name. Files for individuals with the same first and last names were then filed chronologically based on their relationship to William & Mary.

Accruals:

Additions to the collection are made at the discretion of the University Archivist.
