This collection consists of papers, orders, pictures, and ephemera of Eunice L. Van Slooten in relation to her tenure with the United States Marine Corps. She enlisted in March of 1943. She served active duty and was one of six Californians to successfully complete Officer Training School in November of 1943. In 1945 Van Slooten resigned from active duty and joined the Reserves until May of 1951. Included in the collections are newspapers clipping that feature Van Slooten, pictures of her in uniform, a program of graduation from Officer Candidate School, her military identification card, official orders, and certificates.
