Scope and content:

Papers of Kenneth E. Brigham (1921-1970) of Newport News, Virginia, consisting of correspondence, photographs and ephemera.

Printed material in the papers are both personal and professional in nature: resume, maps, class registration, press releases, etc.

Correspondence include business letters written to Brigham from various organizations and military leaders and sympathy letters written to his wife upon his death.

Photographs are from 1961-1970 and are mostly headshots. There are several photographs of unnamed locations and groups of unidentified military men.

Biographical / historical:

Kenneth E. Brigham was born 12 June 1921 and was a native of Massachusetts. He married Doris Aylward and had one son Michael. Before becoming a noted public relations executive for Newport News Shipyard and Dry Docks, Brigham served 3 years in the Army. Kenneth Brigham died 30 August 1970.
