This collection consists of papers relating to Gerard Ramsey (1920-2007), a William & Mary alumni (class of 1943) who was a player and coach in the National Football League (NFL) from the 1940s to 1960s. The first item is the roster for a 1945 game between the Navy All-Stars and the Army Air Forces; Ramsey was guard for the Navy All-Stars. The collection also includes two newspaper clippings from the New York Times and an unknown source, discussing Ramsey being dismissed as coach of the Buffalo Bills in 1962.
