Scope and content:

This additional Alan Cheuse material includes an electrostatic copy of the typed manuscript of his novel "Rabbi Guatemala" later published as The Grandmothers' Club(1986); an electostatic copy of the typescript for a short story "The Land of the Lost" (n.d.); an electrostatic copy of his short story "Accident" printed in Sandlapper (1981 March); and several publicity photographs, two of Alan Cheuse and one of the cover for The Grandmothers' Club.

Acquisition information:
Alan Cheuse of Fairfax, Virginia, placed his papers on loan to the Library on July 27, 1989. The papers were purchased by the Library on September 11, 2003.
