Scope and content:

The collection consists chiefly of studio portraits of individuals and some groups, along with both formal and casual wedding photographs.

Acquisition information:
This collection was a gift to the Library from Jim Carpenter of Gitchell's Studio on December 14, 1999.
Arrangement:

Negatives and proofs are arranged in two chronological groups, Weddings and Portraits. Within each year, items are sorted (but not arranged) alphabetically by the last name of the subject; wedding photographs are under the bride's last name.

This collection consists of ca. 136,800 items.
