Scope and content:

The collection contains copies of two articles from World War I: "The devastated area" from The Squadroonby Ardern Hulme-Beaman and "Three ions in a grove" from Laughter in the Next Roomby Sir Osbert Sitwell, which Matthew Bruccoli intended to use in an article about deserter legends and life in the trenches which was never published.
