This collection consists of a single bound ledger containing various accounts involving grain, lumber, repairs, and miscellaneous merchandise, ca. 1850-1888, probably belonging to David G. Hogsett. It also contains loose papers, ca. forty items, 1852-1888, and undated, all formerly enclosed within the ledger, pertaining to members of the Hogsett family, Augusta County, Virginia, including: accounts, articles of agreement, a memoranda book, a suit between Isabella Hogsett and William E. Hogsett, deeds, and receipts.
