[Despite Henry Colman's persuasions he must decline the invitation to preach before returning to Brooklyn, Conn. ]

[Letter contains a copy of the resolution passed at a meeting of Plymouth Countyabolitionists on March 25, 1842 which demands that Edward Everett, American minister to the Court of St. James, disobey Secretary of State Webster's instruction requesting that the British surrender the slaves on the Creole (Creole Slave Case 1841).]
