[Wishes she had sent Alfred Allen's "Reminiscenses of Sidney Lanier" to him instead of to Clifford Anderson Lanier. Mentions that some corrections were made. Recalls Sidney Lanier's being rescued on a troop ship. Notes that Mattie Montgomerypublished song "Little Ella. A Beautiful Ballad" without Lanier's knowledge. Says the Wards liked Tabb's Christmas quatrain, and recalls meeting Tabb's "admirer," Mrs. Wright, in Newark.]
