Scope and content:

This collection contains 53 items, 1971(1992-1993), pertaining to Wythe Countyand the local families of Graham, Tate, and Sanders. There is biographical information on Agnes Graham (Sanders)and Herbert Parkes Rileyand Andrew Trigg Sandersand Friel Tate Sanders; related material concerns C. B. Tateand William Tate. There is also an essay, "Three Dreams"published by Martha Peirce McGavock, grandaughter of David Graham. In addition, there are papers, chiefly printed and newspaper clippings, concerning various places and events in Wythe County, Virginia, including: Anchor of Hope Presbyterian Church, Max Meadows200th Anniversary Celebration; Sketches (stationary and postcard) of scenes in Wytheand other counties; and, the Wall of Honor Dedication, Withers Park, Wytheville.
