Background

Scope and content:

The Graduate Program for Judges was an LLM program for sitting judges that was started at UVA by Daniel J. Meador in 1980. The courses of each two-year program were taught by UVA Law professors and guest lecturers over two consecutive summers. The records include theses of participants, Meador's reports on the program, pamphlets, and photographs.

Acquisition information:
The Graduate Program for Judges initially transferred their records to the archives in 1980. Subsequently, records were transferred in 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988, and 2013.
