This collection documents the various events held at and hosted by the VMFA from the years 1939-2012, including Fine Arts and Flowers, Jumpin in July, and Fast Forward. Materials include event programs, photographs, slides, and negatives.

Appraisal information:

The collection is organized into 5 series but is minimally processed. Items with no date are generally placed at the end at each series.

Custodial history:

The collection was transferred from the Events Department through periodic deposits.

Processing information:

In general, during processing, all publications are removed and added to the VMFA Library's holdings and original newspaper clippings are photocopied, with identifiers transferred, and then destroyed. Original folder titles are retained, when provided.
