Series II--Manuscripts

Scope and content:

Manuscripts of various Cabell writings, many heavily edited in Cabell's handwriting, are contained in these folders. Most of the material has Duke numbers written in pencil on it. Materials include story ideas, notes, early drafts, drawings, school work, essays, poems, and prefaces. Folders 72-76 are labeled with Duke numbers. See also Series IX.
