This collection contains information on Virginia's water supply, springs, dams, and forestry services. The material was collected up through the 1970s in vertical file folders in McConnell Library.
Folders 1-8 contain pamphlets, projects, reports, studies on water pollution, news articles on populations impacted by an unclean water supply, and committees and groups that are concerned about the state of Virginia's water supply.
Folders 9 and 10 contain pamphlets and news articles about the springs their historical significance.
Folders 11-15 contain information on the dams in Virginia in the form of a project brochure, reports, final environmental impact statement, and pamphlets about water power.
Folders 16-23 contain bulletins from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Virginia Forest Service, and the Office of the State Forester. There are also forest maps and pamphlets from George Washington and Jefferson National Forest.
