One letter, directing Colson to act as President.

Biographical / historical:

James Major Colson Jr. served as the second Principal of the Virginia Normal and Colegiate Institute from 1885-1886. Mr. Colson joined the faculty in 1883 as Professor of Natural Science. His year as Principal and acting President was marred by controversy over the dismissle of the first Principal James Storum.
