Scope and content:

This item is a program for the memorial service for Minor Lee Rogers, which was held on September 16, 1991.

Biographical / historical:

Minor Lee Rogers earned his B.S. at Virginia Military Institute in 1952; B.D. at Virginia Theological Seminary in 1958; M.Div. at Princeton in 1966; and Ph.D. at Harvard in 1972. He served as a professor of Religion at Washington and Lee University from 1972-1991. He was instrumental in developing the East Asian Studies Program at Washington and Lee and wasthe Director of that Program from 1980-1983 and in 1986-1987.
