Scope and content:

This collection contains is a letter written by Philander Chase in New Orleans, La. to Rev. C. Jones. Chase mentions shipping a barrel of oranges on the Brig Holkar ship. A prayer is written on the back of the letter in a different handwriting. The letter is dated December 15th but the year of the letter has been torn away.
