his collection contains historic photographs collected by Mary Poole. The majority of the photographs were taken by Lexington-based photographers including Michael Miley and Mrs. N. L. Miller. The subjects are primarily unidentified individuals.

Mary Poole was born on December 4, 1922 to Roy and Mary Wade. She died on September 11, 2020 in Rockbridge County, Va.
