This collection records the life of John D. "Pete" Sterrett, Jr. and his wife, Lula McCorkle Moore, and their Rockbridge County and Wytheville, Virginia families. Included in this collection are personal correspondence, which includes WWII correspondence to wife Lula from John D. "Pete" Sterrett, Jr., photographs, genealogies, and papers relating to their social lives.
Includes postcard of Montreat Conference grounds, Montreat, North Carolina.
Also includes a photocopy of the wedding newspaper article for Miss Margaret Gertrude Davidson and Mr. Beverly Morris Higginbotham, which was held at the bride's grandmother's home at South River.
Also includes December 26, 2000 note of mother's death.
