The Civil War documents and ephemera collection consists of Civil War-related documents, largely items with autograph rather than content significance. The collection includes a shares document, autograph card, correspondence, an enrollement document, and a bond certificate.
A 5,000 dollar six percent non taxable certificate, number 651, payable in Richmond, Virginia or at depository in Staunton, Virginia.
Document of enrollement for Peter Cullen in Company E, 70th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers.
Letter thanks artist Conrad W. Chapman for two engravings of the Civil War battery at Charleston, South Carolina. The letter also discusses proposed historical paintings.
