This collection consists of one scrapbook (circa 1919) compiled by J. Prescott Carter. The scrapbook contains primarily postcards collected during a European trip, but does feature a few VMI-related pages.
- Biographical / historical:
-
James Prescott Carter graduated from VMI in 1919 and spent his career as a banking executive and economic consultant. During World War I he was a Second Lieutenant in charge of the United States Army, 6th Naval Training District at the University of Georgia. Carter died in 1998.
